The provision of all data to Tests Direct is voluntary. You do not have to provide us with any data. However, if you do not provide us with certain data it will be difficult for you to take part in our processes.
By participating in our processes as a participant, you are giving your consent for us to pass your data to the client(s) that we are undertaking the assignment for. We will not pass your data to another party other than this specific client or clients, without your consent.
As a guide, we may collect your address, telephone number(s) and email address(es) if you participate in any of our processes.
In promoting diversity, inclusion and equality, as a participant we may also collect sensitive personal data about you in the form of questions concerning (but not limited to) ethnicity, gender, age, and disability. This information will remain confidential.
The Tests Direct website follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
We use your contact details as the basis for managing our interactions with you.
As a participant, the data you provide is typically used to produce psychometric reports for clients. Clients may then use this information as part of their assessment, selection or recruitment processes.
In order to create norm (comparison) groups of how participants have performed over time, and in order to improve our tests, Tests Direct may extract test results along with demographic data, anonymise them, and compile the data into norm groups for future use. No individuals can be identified from this data.
We also store data anonymously for analytical purposes to generate insights.
As a client, none of your data is shared with anyone outside of the organisation. As a participant, we share only your relevant data with the client(s) we are working with in order to deliver the service that the Tests Direct platform provides.
In operating our website it may become necessary to transfer data that we collect from you to locations outside of the UK and the European Union for processing and storing. By providing your personal data to us, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely.
You have the right to access any data that we hold on you. This can be done by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You also have the right to ask us to remove any data that we hold on you from our systems. Again, this can be done by emailing us at email@example.com.
The accuracy of psychometric test results can degrade over time, as the person develops and learns, and evolves their approach. For this reason, and also to protect the privacy of test-takers, Tests Direct will only hold participant data in an identifiable format for one year. After that period, it will either be deleted, or anonymised (irretrievably) and used for research and monitoring purposes.
